Spanish La Liga fixtures will be announced Thursdady, 19th July 2018. The first matchday of the season will be on the weekend of 18-19th August 2018 and the season will finish on 25-26th May 2019. We will update this page into full fixture list on 19th July 2018 once the fixtures are announced.

La Liga 2018-19 Fixture – Release Date:

Usually spanish FA announce the official list of fixtures for the next season during the third week of July. This year we can expect the La Liga Fixtures to be officially announced on Thursday, 19 July 2017.

Spanish FA usually get a lot of pressure from Barcelona and Real Madrid before the official fixture announcement and provisional fixture list draft is sent to all 20 clubs who can request changes if necessary. La Liga fixtures are usually announced when both Real Madrid and Barcelona are happy with their schedule.

LA Liga 2018-19 Season Start/ End Dates ?

Traditional new La Liga season starts on the third weekend of August every year but since the world cup is taking place in the summer of 2018, Spanish FA has announced that 2018-19 La Liga season will begin a week later than usual dates. 2018-19 La Liga season officially begins on the weekend of 18-19 August 2018 and the final round of matches will be played on 25th May 2019.

Spanish La Liga 2018-19 TV Channels Broadcasting Worldwide

Spanish La Liga authorities has finally put together level playing field in terms of tv rights deal for all the clubs based on collective sale of tv rights rather than each team free to negotiate their own terms. LFP professional league association in Spain struck a massive €600 million deal with spanish telecom company Telefónica who will be paying €600m for the domestic rights deal for 2018-19 season and they will have the ability to show best rated matches in the spanish top 2 divisions every week. The broadcasting will be shared between three channels (Moviestar Partidazo, GOL and beIN La Liga).

Another €500-€600 million is expected from the oversees broadcasting rights which will help reduce the tv rights money gap between top two and the rest of the teams in La Liga. La Liga and other top european leagues are trying to model their TV rights sales and distribution on Premier Leagues system where TV moeny is shared equally.
